WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT
Waiting for a light to show
I won’t daydream ‘cos that just blights your hopes
And I can’t be sure if I’ve said before
But I’ll still be here when the time comes…
To stay or go, before I misread my lines
I won’t say hello ‘cos that precedes goodbye
And I’ll cry for sure if you leave once more
I’ll still be here when the time is right
Your pose and demeanour are out to confuse
Why should I care when I’ve got nothing to lose
I’d be bolder but I’d regret it so
I won’t hold you ‘cos that means letting go
And I’m so afraid that your mind is made
But I’ll still be here when the time is…
I’ll still be here when the time is right
