CHOP SUEY
Free fall through the summer with no tangible plan
Chop Suey and a box of wine with K.C.’s old man
Chinese never fills me but I still buy the stuff
You take more than you can carry and it’s never enough
Fortune never came in any cookie for me
I’d say they’re not quite what they’re cracked up to be
Take care when you try to read what fortune will bring
It’s just as likely that you’ll choke on the thing

Don’t forget who you are, don’t forget who you are

My birthday’s one day after April the twelfth
Sometimes on a Friday but I’ve still got my health
No need to stay in bed all day you’re gonna be fine
Can’t base your existence on a day or a sign
Lost cause is when you’re closer to the ground than the plane
That fails and you never get to do it again
No number on a seat can make you fall like a stone
Thirteenth row of an aircraft never crashed on its own

Don’t forget who you are, don’t forget who you are
Don’t forget who you are, you’re just made out of stuff

There once was a man whose choice was ruled by the stars
Right down to the colour of his house and his cars
He moved through a short life with one eye on the curse
Then he stepped round a ladder and got hit by a Hearse
His brother said superstition was what took him
For the sake of the story let’s say his name was Jim
He thought he was lucky but now he’s also dead
He got hit by a horseshoe on the side of his head

Don’t forget who you are, don’t forget who you are
Don’t forget who you are, don’t forget who you are
Don’t forget who you are
